Comments (English):
We booked a room with a double bed before we travel from Melbourne. On arrival, we were told that they had no room available and had placed us in a Backpacker, which happened to be owned by the same owner. We have no choice but accept because it was dark, rainy and windy, and can't find other hotel at last minute. The room and the surrounding at the backpacker was very poor. We had a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. And No re-fund of the price difference was given.

Comments (English):
If you change your mind about staying here and want to cancel, if you’re like me and booked late in the afternoon on a booking website then forget about any refund. The venue has a before 6.00pm cancel booking time, however if it’s close (but before) that, the venue won’t cancel and allow a refund and if you have trouble getting back online to the booking website then like us, you’ve got to put it down to experience and just suck it up.

The location is fantastic.
It was a bit noisy during the night with other guests getting up to use the toilets due to the floorboards.
The staff were very friendly & very helpful

Comments (English):
We had a good time in Bunbury visiting family. The Dolphin Retreat was very good and very busy so is quite popular. The Caretaker 'Josh' was very helpful in all respects. Slight area of concern was in room 13 where the double bunk bed was against the wall - maybe it could be pulled out from the wall by 12 - 18 inches to allow access to that side of the bed as there is still plenty of room between the other bunks.
Everything in the kitchen area worked well and the visitors kept their mess to a minimum so there was very little clean-up to get meals organised.

Comfortable bed, good hot water, helpful staff. Well located Plenty of bread, and spreads for breakfast. Options for breakfast did not include Gluten Free. I suggest fruit and yoghurt for example.

Comments (English):
I stayed for 13 nights at Dolphin Retreat and had a wonderful time. The staff are very friendly. The location is excellent: 3 minutes from a beautiful beach and 5 minutes to the town and coffee shops. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the wildlife centre and about 15 to the dolphin watch. Everything at Dolphin is easy: washing machine plus a drying machine and plentiful washing line space. I would recommend Dolphin Retreat for a stay at Bunbury.
